Babur

Babur, a descendant of Genghis Khan and Timur, was driven from his small kingdom in Central Asia as a young prince. Undeterred, he fought his way south through Afghanistan and into Hindustan, where his victory at the first Battle of Panipat in 1526 crushed the Delhi Sultanate and laid the foundation of the Mughal empire.
