Billoo and the Olympic Games is a Diamond Toons comic featuring Billoo, created by legendary Indian cartoonist Pran Kumar Sharma. A quick, funny read for kids, part of one of India's longest-running comic franchises.
About the Creator
In 1973, cartoonist Pran was looking for a school going teenage boy who could feature in the comic strips. Thus he created a boy with long hair covering his eyes and named him BILLOO. This lanky boy was liked by readers so much that the editor asked the cartoonist to increase the episodes from one page to two. Billoo is seen roaming the streets with his pet pup Moti. Billoo and his gang, which includes Gabdu, Jozi, Mono and Bishamber, are at loggerheads with Bajarangi the wrestler and his aide Dhakkan. Billoo and his friends are often seen playing cricket in the lanes of the block, and their score is a few smashed windows.
